The program was co-developed by Jay Cooke State Park (DNR), Great Lakes Aquarium, Minnesota Power’s Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center and the UMD Center for Environmental Education.

Past Highlights

Lake sampling

2006 - The St. Louis River Watershed Workshop was extremely well received with 42 participants attending this year’s workshop (almost double from last year - 23 participants). The participants were very appreciative of the range of presentations tied to a central theme, low cost (free), and the availability of graduate credit. 15 participants participated in the collegiate graduate credit option.

Evaluation Summary

2005 - One of the best teacher workshops offered in Duluth. This was the first year the workshop was run and it was a smashing success. Teachers especially liked the hands on components such as "throwing the adl-adl" shown to the left.
