These workshops are meant to introduce K-12 teachers to the People and Forests Curriculum which was developed by the St. Louis Land Department with the following objectives for students.

Change is natures only constant: healthy forests are complex living systems subject to and dependent on periodic change through a process that may seems like destruction. This “destruction” is actually a renewal and change; and people are connected to this unique system.
