Putting state-wide aerial photos, mapping and other geographic information at your fingertips

This training will provide an introduction to Landview (a free Geographic Information System (GIS) developed by MN DNR for non-GIS users). This workshop will take place in a computer lab where participants will use Landview to:

• Browse spatial data
• Create simple point, line, and polygon shapefiles
• Download and upload data to a Garmin GPS
• Create, view, and print maps
  

Participants will also receive a DVD that includes a copy of the Landview program and GIS data for their county for use on own computer.
