Aquatic Systems

This team taught UMD summer course investigates aquatic systems. A one day field visit to Boulder included deep water and sediment sampling from the pontoon as well as a variety of experiments conducted from shore.

Highlights from this year's event...

The 9 person pontoon was nice for getting data and samples from the middle of the lake. A nice thermocline was noticed as well as catching some "huge" daphnia.

The day was completed with a very tasty fish fry of sunfish and bass that were caught the day before on Lake Itasca.
