Class Objective: Students will understand water testing techniques, water cycle and nutrient flow in lakes and streams.

Possible Lesson Activies
(Offered Spring, Summer, Fall- Grades 3-12)

Macro Invertebrate Collection and Water Testing.. Students will collect critters and take water chemcial tests to help decipher the ecosystems health. Students may have the opportunity to hike or take a pontoon ride to do this at multiple sites.

Incredible Journey. Students will participate in a water activity showing the paths and places water molecules go throughout the water cycle.

Fish Families. Students will learn about the adaptations of various Minnesota fish and how they are grouped in families. The lesson concludes with students making a fish print.
